Police said security was tight for Sunday's burial ceremony for late singing star Whitney Houston at a cemetery outside Newark, N.J. Houston, who died suddenly Feb. 11, was to be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield with an invitation-only audience of friends and family. A star-studded crowd turned out in Newark Saturday for the funeral at New Hope Baptist Church. Westfield police warned residents to expect several road closures prior to the burial Sunday and a heavy police presence in the area, The (Newark) Star-Ledger said. Fairview covers 105 acres and is the final resting place of notables including Kool and the Gang co-founder Claydes Smith and Virginia Apgar, whose Apgar Score is a standard test for newborn infants to measure their health and viability.
