Robert Downey, Jr. is the highest paid actor in the world for 2015, and it isn't the first time.
According to a report by Forbes, the Avengers: Age of Ultron star earned a whopping $80 million this year, beating the second-highest paid actor -- Jackie Chan -- by about $30 million. Thanks to his Iron Man franchise, Downey has been the highest paid leading man for three consecutive years.
Vin Diesel, due to his successful Furious 7 haul, comes in third with $47 million while other American stars like Bradley Cooper, Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise and Mark Wahlberg following close behind.
This year's tally is reportedly the first list including international actors. Bollywood favorites Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan tied for seventh place with $33.5 million earnings a piece while Akshay Kumar raked in a sum equal to that of George Clooney and Brad Pitt's combined for the same year.
Forbes uses sources like Nielsen, Box Office Mojo and IMDB in order to calculate its annual list of highest paid actors. Its list of highest paid leading ladies will be released at a later time.
