Nick Jonas is staying positive after his recent breakup with Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, but he says he isn't ready for a new fling quite yet.
"It's too early," he told E! News when asked if he was considering other relationships less than two weeks since the announcement. "I focus on my work and that, to me, is the priority right now."
"I wish the best for her in the future and we had a great two years," he said.
The "Chains" singer is keeping busy, preparing for his upcoming tour, acting in Scream Queens and playing a role in the recently renewed series Kingdom. "My thing now is focusing on my work and staying as busy as I can, as creative as I can be," he told Entertainment Tonight. "These are the times you've just got to dive in and get lost in your work and that's what I'm trying to do."
Jonas said he has nothing but love for his beauty queen ex, whom he revealed earlier this year his hit "Jealous" was about. He described the last two years he spent with her as "beautiful," and doesn't regret having such a public relationship with the celeb.
"I have regrets about not being open with relationships in the past," Jonas told ET. "That's the thing that makes it actually more challenging. On many levels you try to hide the relationship or do things to make it more private but that just adds more stress on the relationship. Whereas this relationship I was in was open and public and there's a lot of comfort in that and support."
He says, however, that the hardest part of his public relationship with the 23-year-old Culpo is "this part" -- the aftermath.
