The U.S. syndicated reality show "Divorce Court" kicked off its 15th season Friday, with a man who has fathered 27 children with 16 women. Asked how many kids he has, Nathaniel Smith replied, "I have 12 sons and 15 daughters." "You have no right to do what you have done and you have no right to continue to do so and I don't want to hear another word about it," Judge Lynn Toler told the man whose wife was fed up with him fathering children outside their marriage. "'Divorce Court' delivers powerful human drama, suspense and a resolution -- making for a compelling 30 minutes of television," said a synopsis from 20th Television, a division of 20th Century Fox. "'Divorce Court' is the longest running court show on television, reinventing itself three times on daytime TV -- airing from 1957 to 1969, from 1985 to 1992 and currently since 1999. 'Divorce Court' dates back to late 1950s when actors used to reenact real divorce proceedings for television. Of course, today there are no actors and no script -- but real people and real cases. Each day, Judge Lynn Toler offers litigants a no-nonsense and legally binding decision."
