US actress Glenn Close will receive yet another honor -- the National Association of Broadcasters' Service to America Leadership award in Washington. The stage, television, and film artist who most recently captured an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Alfred Nobbs" is being recognized for her efforts to help remove the stigma of mental illness, broadcastingandcable.com reported Thursday. The June 11 black tie dinner and awards ceremony will also honor Service to America Community Awards for Radio and Television, Service to America Television Award and Service to Children Radio and Television Awards. The Service to America Awards are presented every year by the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to reinforcing the future of broadcasting through a commitment to education and to advancing excellence in the diversity and community service efforts of the industry, the NABEF's Web site said. Past honorees include Nancy Reagan, Jeff Bridges and Laura Bush.
