Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell have put last year's X Factor USA feud behind them and are preparing to work together on a new TV series. The show will be a talent-scouting programme with a very different format from Cowell's other series, Britain's Got Talent. It will be created by the tycoon's production company Syco, and is likely to be screened in the autumn. The development marks an end to the frosty relations between the pair after Cowell dramatically dropped the singer as a judge from the American version of X Factor in September. They had previously enjoyed a successful TV partnership over three series of The X Factor in Britain. After being axed, Cole turned down Cowell's peace offering — a role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent. A source says: "Cheryl's finally stepped back into the fold. All's well between them again. Despite what happened last year, she's agreed to do something with Simon." It also appears recent reports that Cole, 28, is to become a chat show presenter on Channel 4 are wide of the mark. The source adds: "Cheryl doesn't want to be a judge and she doesn't want to delve into people's private lives on a chat show." After focusing on his American interests in 2011, Cowell, 52, said recently: "I miss Britain. I miss the British public." Friends believe Cowell will do all he can to charm Cole and ensure she's happy. The insider says: "Now that Cheryl's stopped ignoring him, he'll bend over backwards when they meet." — Daily Mail Chocoholic She is famous for maintaining a fabulous figure which makes her the envy of women half her age, but now Joan Collins is set to surprise many fans by heading a new advertising campaign for Snickers chocolate bars. The Hollywood legend, 78, has a secret penchant for chocolate, and the peanut-filled bar — which packs 511 calories — is said to be her favourite. "Joan has always been a chocolate lover. Although she has expensive tastes in most things, when it comes to chocolate, it's a case of the cheaper the better," says a mole. "People don't expect her to eat anything too calorific, but she likes Snickers and she has a constant struggle to control her cravings. The advert will be about the fact that she's a glamorous older woman with a perfect figure and yet she loves chocolate bars. It will be very funny." Collins will be paid a five-figure sum, according to insiders, and she flew to London last week to film the advert. The four-times married star, who famously played Alexis Carrington in Dynasty, will replace the A-Team's Mr T — another Eighties icon — as the face of Snickers. — Daily Mail Amy's concert coming soon Plans for a memorial concert for Amy Winehouse are gathering pace, with stars including Florence Welch lined up to appear. Winehouse's father, Mitch, is planning to host the show in July, a year after the 27-year-old singer's death from alcohol poisoning — and he is hoping ITV will televise it. "Mitch first mentioned hosting a concert last summer but now the wheels are in motion," says a source. "Florence, Lily Allen, Jessie J and Mark Ronson are being linked to the gig, but nothing is set in stone yet." Proceeds will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Mitch is also in talks with Camden Council about erecting a statue of his daughter outside The Roundhouse, the North London venue where she performed her final show. — Daily Mail All's not peaches with Bob If Bob Geldof is happy about his daughter Peaches announcing her pregnancy, he isn't showing it. On the day the 22-year-old revealed she is expecting her first child, Geldof was keen to avoid the subject when he attended the London premiere of Cirque du Soleil's Totem. "Bob was congratulated by several well-wishers but said he didn't want to talk about it," says a mole. "He wasn't exactly all smiles at the notion of becoming a grandfather." Geldof, 60, is said to have a strained relationship with Peaches, his second daughter from his marriage to the late Paula Yates. Peaches is expecting a baby with her fiance Thomas Cohen, 20, whom she has been dating since 2009. — Daily Mail
