A grateful man says country music star Blake Shelton towed his truck up an Oklahoma hill when it stalled after a storm this week, then drove him home to his astonished wife.
Roho Hartman told KFOR.com his truck died when he tried to get through a flooded road near Ardmore. Hartman said he and another motorist were pushing the vehicle up a hill in waist-deep water when Shelton happened by in his own truck, which had a tow rope.
"The guy said, 'Are you ready?'" recalled Hartman. "I thought...that looks like Blake Shelton."
Once the dead truck was up the hill, Hartman was still stranded.
"I said, 'Hey, could you give me a ride home?'" said Hartman. "He said, 'Where do you live?'...I said, 'Just right over yonder.'"
As Shelton was driving Hartman home, Hartman received a call from his wife.
"I said: 'You wouldn't believe it. Blake Shelton pulled me out,'" said Hartman. "Told her, 'You better slick up, we'll be there in just a minute.'"
Shelton dropped Hartman off and even stayed for a few photos.
"He's a good fella I think, I like him," Hartman said.
Shelton is also one of the mentors on The Voice.
