Alicia Keys opened up about scents while discussing her new campaign as the face of Givenchy's Dahlia Divin fragrance with Hello magazine.
"Certain scents evoke comfort and familiarity. My grandmother's scent was gardenia and my mother's was white musk. Even now, they fill me with love and good memories because both my mother and my grandmother are tremendous inspirations to me," Keys, 33, told the publication via Cover Media.
"As you grow up, those scents tend to come back to you in different ways," added the "Girl on Fire" singer, who embodies a very put-together version of herself in the new ad for Dahlia Divin.
Keys appears wearing a gold Riccardo Tisci gown for the advertisement which features her face next to the perfume's gold bottle.

The singer, who is also mom to son Egypt and currently expecting her second child with husband Swizz Beatz, said wearing perfume is just "part of getting ready" for her.
"As a working mother, sometimes I'm too busy to remember to take time for myself, but perfume can be a wonderful reminder to take a minute, breath and face the day," she explained.
