Los Angeles – UPI

Actress Sarah Marshall, whose TV credits included "The Twilight Zone" and "Star Trek," has died in Los Angeles, her family said. She was 80. Marshall died Jan. 18 after suffering from stomach cancer, said her grandson, Seamus Marshall Bourne. Marshall began acting at a young age and dropped out of school at age 16 to pursue acting full time, the New York Times reported. She was nominated for a Tony for her performance in George Axelrod's 1959 play "Goodbye, Charlie." She went on to make regular television appearance on shows ranging from "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" to "Cheers." The actress also appeared in films including "The Long, Hot Summer," "Dave" and "Dangerous Minds." Marshall is survived by her husband, actor Karl Held, a son from her first marriage, Timothy M. Bourne, and four grandchildren.
