Two people were shot in Charlotte, N.C. Saturday at a concert that featured TI, Jeezy, and Yo Gotti.
Diddy was scheduled to appear later in the evening. Police say several shots were fired. The incident took place at the Label nightclub inside the NC Music Factory entertainment venue.
The two victims who were shot had non-life threatening injuries, the Charlotte Observer reported. The club was hosting a "CIAA Weekend Takeover" party. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association held its annual basketball tournaments in Charlotte this past week. It is unclear whether the Label party was an officially sanctioned CIAA event.
An official statement was released by the club's management team after the incident.
"The exact circumstances concerning the incident have yet to be determined. Officials at Label are cooperating with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department concerning their investigation of this matter. Tonight's events at Label will take place as scheduled. It should be noted that there will continue to be very substantial security for all Label events during tournament weekend. And, Label remains fully committed to the safety and security of its patrons."
No arrests have been made.
