Sofia - Anadolu

Bulgarian groups continued their rallies against the  Plamen Oresharski government on Wednesday, wearing swimsuits inprotest of the deputies having summer holiday. Entering their 48th day as organized via social media, the anti-government protests targeted the Bulgarian deputies who are preparing to go on a summer vacation of 32 days, after less than a month of work in the new Parliament of the 42nd term. Blocking the entry of the parliamentary building, thousands gathered before the building in capital Sofia and held a protest in their swimsuits. They welcomed the deputies to the Parliament, shouting slogans like "Resign," Mafia," "Craps," and getting into the inflatable pools in their swimsuits to create a holiday atmosphere. Covering themselves with suntan oil, they joked around with water guns and offer pop corn to each other. During the protest, Bulgarian police laughed as they watched the demonstrators. A demonstrator in swimsuits, with a placard writing "Barefaced deputy," told AA that "The protest before one of the important state institutions is not a shame considering the efforts in the Parliament." Thousands of people have been protesting peacefully since June 14, 2013 every day demanding the resignation of the four-week-old Socialist-led government of Plamen Oresharski.
