Jordanain Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafaar Hassan said the ministry will sign agreements on the 2011 US Economic Assistance Aid to Jordan totaling $359.3 million before the end of this month, Petra news agency reported. He said in a press statement on Wednesday that the program includes $194 million in cash transfer assistance, adding that the US support to the Kingdom comes in recognition of Jordan''s efforts to achieve political and economic reforms. The cabinet approved during its session on Tuesday the 2011 US Economic Assistance Aid to the Kingdom and entrusted Minister of Planning and International Cooperation to sign agreements on behalf of the government. The rest of the aid which amounts to $175 will be used to support the sectors of education and health as well as projects that target women, children and youth.
