Visiting Chinese Acting Minister of Water resources Lee Kowing said here on Thursday Iran and China would expand cooperation on power plant industry. He told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with Iranian Minister of Energy Majid Namjoo. Lee described his talks with Namjoo as fruitful. “Iran and China can supplement each other in water and power plant industry, “Lee added. He reiterated that Iran and China are two developing countries which have too much potentials to expand their cooperation in different fields and the two countries ministries initiated suitable cooperation in water resources management. The Chinese minister reported of construction the Bakhtiyari dam as the highest and with the largest water capacity in the world with 315 meters high and said Chinese construction companies could reach primary agreements with Iranians on the project. “China has very good potentials to build large dams so there is no problem with Iran in constructing Bakhtiari dam,“ Lee said.
