Guiyang - Xinhua

China's top anti-graft official He Guoqiang on Tuesday told employees of discipline inspection and supervision units at all levels to step up their work in fighting corruption. He, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remark Tuesday at an anti-graft meeting held in southwest China's Guizhou province. He urged discipline inspection and supervision departments to ensure fair play during local elections while strengthening their supervision of the implementation of major CPC and government policies. He also told leaders and officials, especially those who have recently taken up their posts, to improve their performance and maintain close relationships with local residents.
