Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, fell 0.56 per cent at the close yesterday. The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange fell 70.20 to 12,406.57. Among the stocks in the index, 26 rose, 57 fell and 17 remained unchanged. Prominent losers Declines in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by MCB Bank Limited, Oil and Gas Development and Nestle Pakistan. Article continues below MCB Bank Limited, which fell 5.15 rupees to 192.25 rupees, was the most active stock by value in Pakistan. The next most-active issues were Engro Corp, which fell 2.79 to 148.80 rupees, and Fauji Fertiliser, which fell to 163.50 rupees.
