The Egyptian International Trade Point Sector
Cairo - MENA

The Egyptian International Trade Point Sector (EITP) has electronically promoted 406 export opportunities for 867 companies during October, said a report submitted to Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil.

About 832 export companies have benefited from these opportunities, according to the report that was released on performance indicators of EITP during October.

Twenty-six new companies, it noted, have been registered in the sector to make use of the services it provides.

Head of EITP, Fifi Awad, said the sector has intensified its activities during October at the local and international levels, the Ministry of Trade and Industry said in a statement Wednesday.

EITP has taken part in Uganda International Trade Fair and prepared an electronic catalogue for Egyptian companies participating in the fair, Awad added.

The sector, she noted, has published and generalized the offer made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with regard to telling Egypt's consulate in Hong Kong to allow Egyptian companies producing organic agricultural and industrial products to get one-year free subscription after being registered there.

Meanwhile, Awad said the sector has mulled over cooperation with Latin American Producers Association (LAPROAS) and discussed the exchange of export opportunities between the two sides.

EITP has also taken part in a training course organized by the Chinese Ministry of Trade and dubbed "expanding international market for developing countries", she pointed out.

The training course, she noted, was held within the framework of cooperation between Cairo and Beijing.
