The first international copper conference is scheduled to kick off work in the Iranian capital city of Tehran today, a statement by the National Iranian Copper Company (NICICO) said. Over 100 experts from 30 countries are expected to take part in the three-day conference. According to NICICO official website, the conference aims to familiarize everyone with the advancement of the developing copper projects in Iran as well as exchange of views, experiences and increasing the technical knowledge of industrialists in the copper industries sector in the fields related to the exploration, mine design, mining, ore beneficiation, extractive metallurgy (Hydro, Pyro and Electro), health, safety and environmental and marketing. The latest achievements of Iran's copper industry will be showcased in an exhibition on the sidelines of the conference.
