Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 190.17 points (+1.79%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,819.30 points. Trading value during this week increased by 3.91% to reach QR 1,339,604,367.54 compared to QR 1,289,140,532.84. 
Trading volume decreased by 15.66% to reach 36,254,293 shares, as against 42,985,446 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 2.19%, to reach 17,054 transactions as compared to 17,436 transactions. Market capitalization rose by 1.84% to reach QR 579,413,604,615.18 as compared to QR 568,961,234,341.63 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 25.1% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 19.37%. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 16.06% and Insurance sector accounted 15%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 27.47% of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 18.99%. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 18.73% and Insurance sector accounted for 11.72%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 28.18% of the total number of transactions. Real Estate sector accounted for 19.94%. Industries sector accounted for 18.00% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 14.75%. From the 44 listed companies 27 ended this week higher, while 16 fell and one unchanged. 
Barwa Real Estate led trading value during this week accounted for 12.43% of the total traded value. Medicare Group accounted for 9.95% and Qatar General Insurance & Reinsurance accounted for 9.28%.
