Paris stocks drop 4.03%, led by banks, to 3,122 points

French shares plunged 4.03 percent in late morning trading on Tuesday in response to a shock announcement of a referendum in Greece on a debt relief package agreed by the eurozone in Brussels, traders said. Leading French bank shares fell by 12.0-14.0 percent amid resurgent fears of their exposure to Greek debt, and the CAC 40 index shed 130.34 points to 3,122 points.
