Citrus fruits: Output rises 41%, 11 million

National citrus fruit production has exceeded 11.5 million quintals (qls) in 2011, up 41% compared with last season, Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry’s report showed Wednesday. "The latest locally produced oranges are still available in the market, showing the record production this year," the director of Statistics Department at the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hocine Abdelghafour, told APS.
