Vodafone Qatar has launched the Global Masters Programme that brings “experienced leaders” from across the Vodafone group to run seminars with the leadership team in Qatar. At an event which took place at the Intercontinental Doha, Vodafone’s group human resources director, Ronald Schellekens, shared his insights on what it takes to be a successful leader in a multinational organisation with Vodafone Qatar’s leadership team. “The Global Masters programme is a new development programme for leaders. The purpose of the Global Masters programme is to both develop and connect leaders in Vodafone Qatar with Vodafone globally.” Schellekens said, “Vodafone is deeply committed to the development of its people, especially leaders. The Global Masters programme is a very innovative way that Vodafone Qatar can benefit from the vast experience we have within Vodafone globally for the development of our people in Qatar. I was impressed by the quality of the diverse group of Vodafone leaders attending the session. This was the first Global Masters programme and I know my colleagues from around the world will similarly enjoy sharing their expertise with Vodafone Qatar.” Schellekens leaders with his personal leadership journey, sharing the lessons he learnt along the way and offering his perspective on what makes great leadership. “We were delighted to launch this innovative prorgamme in Qatar where we can learn from leaders who are truly subject matter experts in their field. We were especially privileged to have Schellekens as our first Global Master and the feedback we received from the participants was excellent. We have a great line up of speakers from around our global organisation from all disciplines for future Global Masters seminars which we will be running on a regular basis throughout the year,” said Jan Mottram, Vodafone Qatar human resources director.
