Signed in May this year, a twinning agreement between Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority and the EU is meant to improve aviation safety standards, says the aviation minister.
The EU will be offering 1.1 million euros in 24 months to implement the agreement, Hossam Kamal said on Wednesday.
He was speaking at a meeting with representatives of the Italian civil aviation authority.
The meeting took up the different phases of the twinning project.
Kamal also posted the Italian delegation on training programs given to Egyptian workers in the administrative and technical fields.
The twinning agreement comes as part of exchanging expertise and benefiting from international experiments, the minister said.
It is meant to unify aviation safety standards, he added.
