Jeddah - Arab Today

The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) recently participated in Saudi Arabia’s first “Corporate Run.” The race, organized by the General Sports Authority, took place from May 15-24 in Alkhobar, Riyadh and Jeddah.
The event was open to companies and was organized as part of the General Sports Authority’s efforts to support a healthy lifestyle and enhance public health of Saudi society in line with the initiatives of the National Transformation Program (2020).
Tawuniya, a pioneer in the Saudi insurance sector, was selected as a health partner for the race and employees from Tawuniya as well as many other companies participated in the races in all three cities.
Tawuniya’s participation aims to promote health awareness as well as support initiatives that seek to promote a positive health culture in the Kingdom.
The event started with a 4-km run along the Alkhobar Corniche and saw high levels of participation from companies based in the Eastern Province.
The next was a 3-km race organized around Granada Mall in Riyadh on May 20. The Corporate Run concluded with the last race — a 3-km run near the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah on May 24.
