Samsung, LG log lower share in N. American TV market

Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc., the world's two largest makers of TVs, saw their North American market share decline in the first five months of 2011 from one year ago, a market report showed Tuesday. The two Korean TV makers, however, retained dominant positions in the 3-D TV market in the United States and Canada, according to NPD Group, a U.S.-based market researcher.
