RasGas has launched two new television commercials that will be aired throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The commercials aim to raise awareness of social inclusion and community spirit. The campaign encourages community members to support their neighbours and to help those disadvantaged through age or disability, sharing the belief that together we can help build a better society. RasGas’ Ramadan commercials will be aired in eight prime slots each day on Qatar TV. They can also be viewed on the RasGas website. RasGas’ approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is to engage in a range of worthy causes aiming to make a sustainable and positive impact in the four spheres of community, education, environment and health. Through research and interaction, RasGas works to meet the changing needs of people and organisations in the community through volunteering, training programmes and community contributions. The RasGas Year of the Community campaign includes initiatives such as Tamkeen Al-Mar’a, a training programme offering new skills to women in the northern areas of Qatar, the contributions to its charity fund Sunduk Al-Kheir, the professional development opportunities offered to young Qatari graduates and various skills transfer and environmental programmes.
