MG and Castrol have signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement that will see the two companies working even closer together. Castrol is one of the sponsors of the MG KX Momentum Racing team and over the last year has formed a closer co-operation with MG culminating in the new partnership agreement with MG. This new agreement further strengthens the ties between Castrol and MG’s parent company SAIC. The new agreement will enable the companies to cooperate in brand communication, marketing, technical support and other aspects in the UK and other European Union markets. William Wang, Managing Director of MG Motor UK, said: “We are very pleased to join in this agreement with Castrol that will be beneficial for both our companies. Like MG, Castrol is a highly respected brand with an international reputation.” Mike Jones, Castrol’s Global Marketing Director, was delighted with the partnership. He said: “We are very excited about this partnership as our two iconic brands are a natural fit. We look forward to developing new innovative joint offers to take to the market.” The new agreement was signed at the MG Birmingham site, home to MG Motor UK and SAIC Motor’s European Technical Centre.
