Master developer Limitless has awarded a contract worth Dh 19.5 million for infrastructure design and supervision services at Downtown Jebel Ali, its 200 hectare mixed-use community in Dubai.
The developer has appointed Dar Al-Handasah to review and enhance the existing infrastructure design and to oversee infrastructure construction, which will be out to tender by the end of 2014.
Downtown Jebel Ali is spread over four zones that, combined, stretch 11km along Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road. Dar Al-Handasah's scope of work covers zones 2, 3 and 4; infrastructure in zone 1 is already complete.
Downtown Jebel Ali, Limitless' flagship master community, has more than 300 third party plots, on which investors will build a mixture of apartments, office, retail developments and hotels. Located between Jebel Ali Free Zone and Techno Park, DJA is easily accessible from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Zone 1 can also be reached by the Dubai Metro, via Jebel Ali Station.
Limitless itself has already delivered The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali, a fully operational, rapidly expanding business and retail community in zone 1. The Galleries features state-of-the-art office facilities and retail outlets, with residential units coming soon.
