Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8), the international marketing arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, is celebrating 10 years of operation in Belgium this month. It is celebrating this milestone with a substantial discount, said the Q8 head office located in Antwerp, in a press release today. On Wednesday 20 March, all customers filling up at Q8 automated filling stations in Belgium will be given a discount of 20 cents per litre. The operation will last 24 hours and will be implemented at all 122 Q8 automated stations. 10 years ago, Kuwait Petroleum made a strategic decision to invest in unmanned automated stations and became a trendsetter in Belgium, declared the press release. The Q8 easy stations are fully automated, the fuel prices are lower, which benefits the customer immediately, it noted. Kuwait Petroleum (Belgium) is one of the biggest players on the Belgian fuel market. At the present time, it operates over 285 petrol stations under the name Q8, as well as 122 unmanned Q8 easy stations. Kuwait Petroleum also operates over 40 International Diesel Services stations for the transport sector in Belgium. As well as operating service stations, Kuwait Petroleum supplies fuel to professional end users and retailers (Q8Mazout). Kuwait Petroleum also sells lubricants (Q8Oils) and "special products" such as asphalt. Kuwait Petroleum (Belgium) belongs to the Kuwait Petroleum International group, one of the world's largest energy conglomerates.
