The Kuwaiti Petrochemicals Industries Company has affirmed its adherence to international standards with respect of human safety, conserving the environment and the country's security.
Salem Al-Azmi, the manager of the company's department for health, safety and environment, said in remarks to the company's magazine that it "offers the best solutions, systems and launches many initiatives and projects designed to ensure leadership and distinctiveness, as well as for sake of ensuring safety of the individuals, the installations and the environment." The company has devised a comprehensive scheme for regular maintenance in October, essentially aimed at averting accidents.
He boasted that the company has had a record of 14 million hours of work free of accidents till last June, in addition to winning all ISO awards. Moreover, it has earned two awards from RoSpa, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, in addition to other prizes for safety.
On its safety systems for fertilizers' production, he indicated that these systems ensure secure management, deal with hazards assessment, in addition to monthly inspection and workers' behavioral safety.
The company has spared no effort to safeguard the environment, in and outside the plants, with respect of urea processing, minimizing and supervision gases' emissions and waste.
Al-Azmi also confirmed the company's regular safety guidelines to the personnel and workers and coordination with other local establishments and authorities in this respect.
