The State Minister of the Ministry of Minerals, Oshek Mohamed Tahir, revealed that more than six foreign companies have expressed desire to invest in the field of minerals in the Sudan.
The State Minister indicated these companies have expressed their desire to invest in Sudan during his meeting with officials in these companies on the sidelines of the Conference of Mining in Africa, which is annually held in Australian city of Perth.
He noted that the conference deliberations have focused on Zambia experiment and the great results of the cooperation with Australia during the past year, referring to the participating minister in the conference on the necessity for the activation of the COMESA agreements.
The state minister has held meetings with a number of his kenyian, Zambian and Ghana counterparts and reviewed with them ways for boosting relations between these countries in the minerals field particularly
the field of traditional mining.
