Aviation Minister Wael el-Maadawi on Monday said that losses of EgyptAir hit 6 billion pounds after the revolution, including 650 million pounds due to a rise in dollar's exchange rate. During a meeting of the Shura Council's transport committee under Mohamed Sadeq, Maadawi said losses of Egypt's national flag carrier are 'massive' but are not 'catastrophic' and do not cause the closure of the selling of the company. The minister revealed that the company is 'overstaffed' with 32,000 employees, thought it's sufficient for only 12,000 employees. (MENA)
