Presidential Assistant for National Projects Ibrahim Mahlab
Cairo - MENA

Presidential Assistant for National Projects Ibrahim Mahlab stressed on Thursday that Egypt is now ready for boosting investments after overcoming energy problems, improving road networks and ports and amending the investment law.

All these aspects will attract more investments, Mahlab underlined, noting that the scientific research should have a vital role in desalinating sea water, offering new and renewable energy as well as developing agriculture.

Scientific research is the basis of development and progress, he affirmed.

These remarks came during the workshop organized by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) on the ethical aspect in the great national projects.

The workshop was attended by a galaxy of scientists, former ministers and representatives of bodies concerned with national ventures.

Cairo is one of the heritage cities in the world, the official reiterated, noting that it was necessary to transfer all the administrative buildings to the new administrative capital to protect the city.

Mahlab underlined that the Suez Canal axis is one of the best national projects besides the Golden Triangle venture which contains great mineral resources.

For his part, the Head of the ASRT Mahmoud Saqr said that this workshop comes within the framework of allowing the decision makers to crystallize the vision of the strategic relation between the scientific research institutions and the activities carried out in the national projects.

The workshop tackled the mechanisms that grant success for five national ventures namely nuclear energy station in Dabaa, developing Suez Canal corridor and Sinai, reclaiming 1.5 million feddans and developing the Golden Triangle, Saqr said
