The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) signed a contract on Tuesday to import 170,000 tons of wheat from Russia.
The cost of the deal exceeds EGP one billion, the GASC said in a Tuesday statement.
The GASC contracted last week for importing 180,000 tons of wheat from Russia in an international tender to meet the country's needs.
