The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals Prof. Rashid Ahmed Hussein has stressed his ministry's concern with the statistics which reflects the real situation of production and preserves the rights besides setting out a road map for the ministry for coming period.
Prof. Hussein disclosed the number of those who are now working in the field of unorganized mining sector and out of the state control reached more than 90%, explaining that the gold production totaled 70 tons, 66 ton are out of the control, pointing out that his ministry will implement a great plan in the near future to organize that sector which remains supporting the general budget.
He praised the role of the Central Bank in purchasing the gold production in higher prices, stressing that the statistics is very important in building precise database.
This came during a workshop organized Tuesday at the premises of the Ministry of Minerals, which was witnessed wide participation and discussion of the Department Directors at the ministry.
