Saudi Arabia’s state grain buyer, the Saudi General Grains Organisation, or SAGO, has issued a new international tender to purchase 715,000 tonnes of hard wheat between February and April 2017.
The shipments will be scheduled for discharge at the ports of Jeddah, Dammam and Jizan, SAGO said in a statement.
The tender, the last for the current year, is part of the SAGO's plan to meet domestic demand, including for Haj pilgrimage, and preserve the Kingdom's strategic wheat reserves, the Saudi wheat-buying agency added.
