The non-oil foreign trade sector in Kingdom Saudi Arabia surged to SR16.2 Billion in April, recording SR3.4 Billion increase compared to year 2011, according to figures released by the Saudi Department of Foreign Trade Statistics in the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) on Tuesday. Petrochemical products ranked first in the value of non-oil export products, worth of SR5.6 Billion with 35% of non-oil export total value, CDSI said according to State-Run News agency (SPA). Exports of plastic products followed, reaching SR4.4 Billion, 29% of non-oil export total value. China topped the list of countries receiving Saudi non-oil products, reaching 11.1% of non-oil export total value, UAE came next recording 11%, followed by Singapore with non-oil export total value of 6.9%, CDSI said. Import sector meanwhile recorded a slight increase of SR559 Million, reaching total of SR44.7 Billion compared to 2011. (QNA)
