The regional training program on the management of the preparation of national standards programs and projects concluded in Doha Wednesday.
The three-day training program, organized by Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology (QS), in cooperation with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), brought together 14 countries from ISO member states.
The training program reviewed the basic principles of good practice for standardization, linking the national standardization strategy to the standard working program, understanding and applying the project management methodology to the specification process, and improving the capacity of the national standardization agency to manage the implementation of its work plan, technical committees and working groups to the effective use of resources.
The program also discussed several themes presented by two international trainers at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), including the preparation of standards, project management principles and other relevant themes.
