The Institute of Administrative Development (IAD) of the State of Qatar will hold two training modules covering eight courses for staff from various government departments in the second half of June. As part of its yearlong overall job skills empowerment progammes, the IAD will conduct the two training modules covering from June 19 to 21 and June 24 to 28, IAD Chief of Public Relations Abdulaziz M Al Boainen told Qatar News Agency (QNA). The first module will have five courses. It will train government staff on how to set up general meetings, government documentation work. Another course on enhancing administrative conversation skills; Public interface training for reception staff; How to use the Internet protocol and e-mail and lastly, Evaluation of performance of staff who have been trained. The second module will have three courses. The first will offer staff training on how to Microsoft Excel program. The second course will train secretarial staff and the third is Typewriting Level 2 course for those staff who have passed Level I. The course deals with data entry and how to type documents in Arabic language. The IAD holds such courses which boost job skills of government staff throughout the year, he said. (QNA)
