Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy has paid a visit to Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP), where he was received by Eng. Fayez Al Nahdi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), TIP and Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi, Executive Director, Business Development and Marketing, TIP, and other senior officials of the industrial park.
Al Mansouri commended Tawazun's facilities and the advanced products it manufactures, citing that the UAE's defence and military industries have become great source of pride for the country because of their world class quality, use of the latest technologies and adherence to the best international standards.
While touring Tawazun Industrial Park, the minister emphasised that the UAE moves towards more economic growth and development, which falls in line with UAE Vision 2021 and with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Al Mansouri was accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry, including Juma Al Kait, Assistant Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry, Abdullah Sultan Alfan Al Shamsi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Industrial Affairs and representatives from various departments.
The delegation toured several facilities and companies in the industrial complex and briefed on Tawazun's current status. The tour covered eight specialised companies in advanced industries for defence, aviation, automotive, ammunition, metal and technology. The companies visited by the delegation included Nimr Automotive, Caracal International, Caracal Light Ammunition, Burkan Munitions Systems, Tawazun for Advanced Defense Systems, Tawazun Dynamics, Tawazun Precision Industries and other Tawazun utilities.
At the conclusion of the visit, both parties agreed to pursue further meetings in order to discuss key challenges and how to address them. Both the Ministry of Economy and TIP agreed to intensify coordination, develop and implement an action plan covering essential aspects like marketing, training and mapping targeted markets.
