The Finance Ministry is studying the appropriate prices of the commemorative coin that will be issued on the occasion of the inauguration of the New Suez Canal, slated for August 6, an official said.
The Egyptian Mint Authority will offer the gold coins, Sharif Hazem, adviser to the ministry, told MENA on Thursday.
The ministry is mulling to launch a website to receive requests from citizens who desire to obtain the proposed coin.
He noted that the ministry is preparing a bill to issue a metal pounds having on one of its face the design of New Suez Canal and the date of inauguration.
