The board of directors of the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations (EFIA) will hold a meeting on Wednesday in preparation for "the Upper Egypt's development investment conference", planned to be held within the coming three months.
In a statement on Sunday, EFIA said that Association Chairman Mohamed Farid Khamis and Investment Minister Ashraf Salman agreed that investors associations of Upper Egypt and EFIA will be the main partners of the planned conference.
During the meeting, fields of investment in each government will be reviewed, the statement said.
Coordination with Minister of Local Development Adel Labib and a number of governors is underway to set up investment plans for the conference.
The conference will be held in the Red Sea in September to discuss the opportunities of investment and development in the south governorates.
The aim of the conference is to open the horizon for investments and attract investors and businessmen and get them acquainted with the available fields in these governorates.
It also aims at reviewing the hindrances of investment in the Upper Egyptian governorates and finding swift solutions to push investment forward in them.
