Egypt's Ambassador to Ethiopia Abu Bakr Hefny on Saturday presented his credentials to Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Carlos Lopes.
Hefny and Lopes discussed ways to develop relations between Egypt and UNECA to achieve economic and social development in Africa.
Lopes reviewed the outcome of his recent visit to Cairo to attend the Economic and Social Council meeting of the Arab League.
The meeting also touched on the commission's efforts to develop industry and agriculture sectors in Africa.
The Egyptian ambassador stressed Egypt's support for efforts made by the commission to develop an integrated study to develop industrial and agricultural sectors in Africa.
