Egypt and Mauritania have agreed on bolstering cooperation in the field of livestock wealth and expanding trade exchange, said a statement for the Agriculture Ministry released on Monday.
The agreement, signed on the fringe of Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz's visit to Egypt, comes as part of bolstering trade exchange in the livestock wealth so as to achieve the interests of the two peoples.
In statements on Monday, Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed said the agreement will outline a legal framework for cooperation between the two countries in livestock so as to facilitate negotiations and sign agreements relevant to exports, importation and livestock trade according to legislations applied in the two countries.
The agreement also included an exchange of expertise in the field of livestock wealth, livestock diseases and other veterinary measures, he added.
The minister also said a committee of experts will be formed to follow up the implementation of commitments relevant to the agreement and will convene annually in each of the two countries.
