Minister of Military Production Mohammad Saeed el Assar and Head of Jordanian King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development Atef al-Tel conferred on Saturday on means of bolstering joint cooperation in the fields of military and defensive industries as well as manufacturing technologies.
In a statement released on Saturday by the Ministry of Military Production, Assar welcomed the Jordanian official and praised the strong ties binding the two countries.
The minister voiced happiness over beefing up cooperation in the fields of manufacturing, training and technology transfer.
The two sides reviewed the products of the companies affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production including equipment, ammunition and armament systems.
The Jordanian official, for his part, praised the huge potentials of the ministry and its role in providing needs of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
He also highlighted the role played by Egypt in combating extremism and terrorism in the region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed on activating cooperation between the two countries' companies and forming a joint committee to discuss priorities of cooperation in a step that could open up fields of INVESTMENT AND TRADE exchange.
