INFORMATION Management software developer, Ideagen, is working with Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) to improve regulatory and operational document management at Bahrain International Airport.
Ideagen’s Q-Pulse safety and quality management software is being used to control the increasing complexities of managing differing regulatory and operator document approvals, particularly those related to EASA Part 145, Part M and Part 66.
Andrew Gardner, Manager Quality Assurance - Maintenance at BAS, said: “BAS follow processes to EASA Part 145, Part M and Part 66, as well as adhere to regulations from eight different countries, all based upon EASA. We are also applying for Saudi approval which is based on FAA, and this will be incorporated into Q-Pulse in due course.”
Andrew added: “Without controlled documentation, you can’t operate effectively, so an efficient means of managing documents is essential. Auditing is becoming increasingly complex and the ability to adequately control this as well as to tightly manage findings is imperative. The Audit and CA/PA capability in Q-Pulse gives us the tools to audit to different standards, and this suits our business and operational requirements exactly.
“The ability to tightly control our Quality and Safety Management Systems reduces the likelihood of non-compliance from slow or labour intensive administration. Q-Pulse provides visibility across our systems and therefore, all those that need to know, are able to do so in real time. Q-Pulse, for us, has everything we need.”
Andrew believes Q-Pulse has led to a 30% increase in productivity, adding: “It is difficult to be precise but in terms of measuring the speed we are able to accurately input and retrieve information, I would say we have increased the volume of business by 30%.”
Paul Marshall, Head of Ideagen’s Middle East operations, said: “We are delighted to be able to help Bahrain Airport Services and in turn Bahrain International Airport with their document management and general compliance efforts.
"Q-Pulse is the market leading compliance management software solution for organisations in the Middle East region and is the perfect fir for organisations working to EASA requirements."
