Arab League (AL) has Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) of United Nations. Dr Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, signed for Al while Abdullah Janih, Undersecretary-General of the UN and Executive Secretary of ECA signed for his organization. Following the signing ceremony, Dr. Tuwaijri told reporters that the meeting discussed joint programs between the two sides and ways to deepen economic cooperation and development in Africa and the Arab world. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of AL Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi.
