The Wali (governor) of Gezira State Mohamed Tahir Eila has stressed the importance of the active role of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) in Sudan.
This came during a meeting at his office Thursday the AAAID delegation headed by its President Mohamed Bin Obaid Al Mazrooei. Dr. Eila welcomed all AAAID initiatives on agricultural, livestock and industrial investment in the state. Affirming his commitment to overcome all the obstacles facing AAAID investments in the state to achieve self-sufficiency, contribute to the achievement of Arab food security and make value added by establishing factories for dairy and modern slaughterhouses.
Gezira State's Wali announced that he would address all the AAAID land issues in Al-Bagair area and to hand it over the contracts again, announcing his commitment to overcome all obstacles in order to enhance cooperation with the AAAID and to benefit from its expertise in modern technologies.
For his part, the AAAID Chairman announced its readiness to implement any project in the state and attract investors from abroad, stressing that the state enjoys human and material resources as well as the success requirements to achieve Arab food security, revealing an integrated plan to restore the AAAID projects in the Al-Bagair area, establishment of an integrated agricultural project and the operation of all the stalled projects and the launch of future projects in the state.
