The higher committee for bakeries in Fayyoum and Red Sea governorates approved to open 160 new bakeries in most needy villages with the aim of providing subsidized bread for citizens.

Also, 10 new grocery stores were opened in Fayyoum and Red Sea governorates.

In statements on Saturday, Supply and Internal Trade Minister Khaled Hanafy said that each governorate has a higher committee for bakeries, adding that the committee is chaired by the governor.
