Putin: US should embrace Russia's plan for Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that the United States should embrace a plan from Moscow that would see Syria's chemical weapons placed under international control. Writing in The New York Times, Putin, Syria's most prominent ally, also said "there was every reason to believe" that a recent chemical weapons attack in the suburbs of Damascus was the work of rebel forces and not President Bashar al-Assad's regime.
