Head of the East Center for Studies and Media Nasser Qandil said that the U.S. and western pressures on Syria aimed at changing its principles and breaking down its strategic alliance with the Resistance in the region. Qandil added that passing the western and the U.S. schemes on Syria through the Arab League was intended to weakening its regional role so that Syria won't defend the Arab rights. He added that Syria's decisions are stemmed from its principled stances which view Arabism as a priority and liberating Palestine as essential issue, stressing the failure of all attempts to spread sedition and divide the Syrian people. For his part, Head of the National Initiative of Syrian Kurds Omar Osi greeted the Syrian Arab army martyrs, adding that the episodes of the conspiracy continue with the aim of undermining Syria and its people and realizing the imperialist ambitions to build the "New Middle East". He said that the Syrian Kurds' commitment to the national unity thwarted plots aimed to involve them in the crisis and undermine the civil peace, stressing that the Syrian people will overcome current stage and emerge from the crisis stronger thanks to the strategic vision of President Bashar al-Assad. Head of the Armenian Catholic Church in al-Jazira (peninsula) and the Euphrates, Antranik Ayvazian, said that the powers of evil try to blow off Syria, indicating that these schemes were confronted by the steadfastness of the Syrian people. In turn, Actor Zuhir Abdel Kareem hailed the artists' standing by the Syrian people and army soldiers to foil the conspiracy, adding that the Syrian delegation which recently went to Cairo aimed at conveying a message that the Syrian people reject foreign interference in their country's internal affairs.
